Maxicam 0.5% (Meloxicam 5 mg/ml)

 Composition:-

Each ml contains:

  • Meloxicam ……5 mg.
  • Water for Injections …..QS.
 Indications:-

Maxicam 0.5% injection is a no steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) for use in Dogs and Cats. It is indicated for the alleviation of inflammation and pain in both acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders in Dogs and also for the control of perioperative pain following orthopedic and soft tissue surgery in dogs and cats.

 Dosage & Administration:-
  • Dog : Single intravenous or subcutaneous injection at a dosage of 0.2 mg meloxicam/kg body weight (0.4 mL per 10 kg body weight) before surgery, for example at the time of induction of anesthesia.
  • Cat : Single subcutaneous injection at a dosage of 0.2 mg/kg (0.04 mL/kg) before surgery. Give the lowest effective dose; giving a dose of 0.2 mg/kg is not always necessary
